This degree does not qualify a student for any teaching certificate in the State of Alabama. This degree is designed to meet the needs of those students who are interested in pursuing work as a means of personal development and/or preparation for certain professional areas requiring a master’s degree. To be admitted to this program, the prospective student must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies. Baccalaureate level certification in a teaching field. Prior to receiving certification in school counseling, two years of appropriate experience, at least one of which must be in teaching, is required. GMAT/GRE is required.
