This degree does not qualify a student for any teaching certificate in the State of Alabama. Out-of-state students should check carefully the certification requirements of their respective states. To be admitted to this program, the prospective student must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies. Baccalaureate level certification in a teaching field. Prior to receiving certification in school counseling, two years of appropriate experience, at least one of which must be in teaching is required. GMAT/GRE is required

This program is available online for those students who have obtained a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and who are professionally licensed to teach.
